Yanny has produced calendars of her work for some years now which have proved to be very popular. The images in the 2025 calendar are Verre Eglomisé/reverse painting on glass pieces which Yanny created for her solo exhibition ‘Fieldwork with Mainie and Albrecht’, at the Olivier Cornet Gallery in Dublin between October 6th and November 10th 2024.  At the bottom of each date page are sections from drawings and text which describes the works and how Yanny pays homage to the artists who have inspired each painting. Each month reflects a different wild habitat and draws our attention to the beauty of wild flowers in our environment.

 

Yanny continues to draw  attention to the preciousness of wild plants and habitats which we all too easily take for granted. The purpose of her work is to raise awareness of the wonders of nature and especially the wild plants of Ireland at a time when we are all observing the effects of a changing climate.

The calendar is in a double page A4 format with one page devoted to the image and the other to the relevant month with a box format to fill in birthdays, anniversaries, reminders etc.
